Editorial standards

How ActivePort reports, verifies and labels its content.

Every substantive ActivePort article answers five questions:

  • What is new, or what question does this article resolve?
  • Who is affected?
  • What evidence supports the claims?
  • What operational or commercial implications follow?
  • What remains uncertain?

Announcements and independent verification

When we report on a vendor or provider announcement, we distinguish clearly between what the company says and what has been independently verified.

Case studies

Case studies describe the starting situation, the scope of the implementation, measurable results and the limitations. We do not publish outcomes we cannot substantiate.

Commercial content is always labelled

Sponsored articles carry a visible Sponsored label. Contributed opinion pieces from partners are labelled Partner contribution. The labels appear on the article itself, in article listings and in our RSS feed.

How we classify stories

Each article has one primary topic, based on its central question. Sector, format, technologies, companies and region are recorded separately, so a story can appear on an industry page without being filed twice.
